Big Slide Mountain | 4,240ft

Big Slide - Adirondacks

Big Slide is the 27th highest mountain among the Adirondack 46 High Peaks. One of the most popular trails (the route we took) is via the Brothers. The Brothers are a group of 3 mountains you climb on your way to the Big Slide summit. This trail offers some great variety, with multiple viewpoints along the way. The summit offers clear views of the Great Range from a cool perspective.

Hiking Distance: 8 miles RT via The Brothers route

Once you reach the pond, you can go in either direction along the side of it. If you go right, you shortly come across a nice lean-to with a fireplace and a view of the pond.
