Algonquin Peak | Pure Adirondacks

Algonquin Peak

Second only to Marcy in elevation, at a mere 8 miles round trip, the hike to Algonquin’s summit is considerably shorter than climbing Marcy or many of the other taller high peaks.
Mount Marcy | Pure Adirondacks

Mount Marcy

Mount Marcy is the highest of the 46 high peaks, and thus one of the most popular. The views from the top are hard to beat, and as far as the trail goes, it’s not the most challenging or longest of the high peaks.
Spruce Mountain | Pure Adirondacks

Spruce Mountain

Located in Corinth, NY, the Spruce Mountain is an out-and-back hike to a 73-foot tall fire tower that awards you with 360-degree views from the top. The tower was refurbished and opened in the spring of 2015 along with a new trail to the summit.

Castle Rock | 2,480ft

This is another one of those small Adirondack hikes with a great reward. Located at the end of Maple Lodge Road, you’ll find the trailhead and parking area for this hike, which is located right next to the Minnowbrook Conference Center in Blue Mountain Lake, NY.
Snowy Mountain | Pure Adirondacks

Snowy Mountain

On a cool and crisp early November morning, we began our trek on the 3.8-mile trail up Snowy Mountain. At 3,899 ft., Snowy is a challenging climb. The first part of the hike is an enjoyable walk in the woods, much of it along (or in!) a pretty mountain stream.
