Looking for a weekend getaway from your busy life? Consider a weekend in the fresh mountain air of the Adirondack Park, as Morningside Camps hosts Wilderness Field Notes. This event is located on the shoreline of Minerva Lake and will include a full lineup of outdoor activities, delicious food, and like-minded people, where you can unplug and enjoy nature within the largest park in the lower 48 states.
Accommodation for those attending includes 19 cabins, each of which have their own fireplace, kitchen, and private porch overlooking the lake.
Weekend Includes (from $275 / Person):
Some guests include Steve and Wendy Hall from Adirondack Wildlife Refuge, who will be providing guests with a chance to meet a wolf up close & educating the group on this intelligent predator. Billur Kazaz, a NY based illustrator, will take you through painting from nature and creating your own organic watercolors, giving those who want to take part an opportunity to learn basic watercolor techniques. In addition, Steve Lancia from Northcamp Wilderness Survival will talk through survival skills and making your own basic kit to withstand the elements.
As an extra perk, whiskey experts from Kings County Distillery will also be at camp to host an exclusive tasting of their bourbon and moonshine as guests enjoy a bonfire next to the lake.
And finally, Narrative Space, a high quality goods shop based out of Ithaca, NY, will be on site with a pop-up general store to feature their outdoor/camp inspired products - including brands such as Filson, Topo Designs, Woolrich, Wolverine, and Red Wing.
