On September 24th, 2011, in the small central Adirondack town of Inlet, a community came together for a great cause and broke a Guinness World Record by forming the largest raft of canoes and kayaks in the world. The “One Square Mile of Hope” event helped raise over $80,000 for Breast Cancer Research.

On Sunday, July 31st, 528 cyclists came out to North Creek, NY to take part in the 11th annual ididaride! bike tour. This challenging route is a 75-mile loop that begins at the Ski Bowl at Gore Mountain, heads south to Spectulator, west and north to Indian Lake, then back east down the big hill to North Creek.

Restaurant weeks give food aficionados a chance to discover and enjoy local restaurants, providing patrons with the opportunity to sample a variety of dishes from prix fixe menus at reasonable prices. In Lake Placid, the first restaurant week will be held for ten days this coming May, from Friday, the 13th through Sunday, the 22nd.
