A close second in line to Belfry when it comes to the easiest fire tower climb, Cathedral Rock is a perfect hike for families because of its minimal elevation gain and short ascent to the summit. While not quite as accessible as Belfry from many areas of the Adirondacks, the view from the fire tower makes the drive worth it!

Arguably the easiest and definitely the shortest of the fire tower climbs, Belfry Mountain is a perfect quick hike to a great view, a rare find for such a small elevation gain!

One of the more moderate (and best named!) fire tower trips, Poke-O-Moonshine is a great choice for climbers and hikers alike. The hiking trail wraps its way gradually up the mountain, while rock climbers can set a route to the top along the exposed rock face the mountain is known for.

Located near Old Forge in the northwestern Adirondacks, Woodhull Mountain is unique in that it is not a very high peak but it is the longest fire tower trip, as there is a long, flat hike along an old railroad bed in approach to the uphill section of the climb.
