In picking our mountain for the ceremony, we both agreed that it didn’t necessarily need to be a high peak. All we really cared about was an incredible view and having some of our closest friends in attendance. This made Mt. Van Hoevenberg the perfect fit.

Every sleepless night in the back of my jeep, every ache and pain, the bruises, the blood, the self-doubt, the “why am I doing this” thoughts have been entirely worth it and have brought us here to this point, our final hike of this goal, our Forthy-Sixth High Peak. Ariel has been there every step of the way, my silent encouragement, and my strength.
On Sunday, July 31st, 528 cyclists came out to North Creek, NY to take part in the 11th annual ididaride! bike tour. This challenging route is a 75-mile loop that begins at the Ski Bowl at Gore Mountain, heads south to Spectulator, west and north to Indian Lake, then back east down the big hill to North Creek.
